Gems are better than 4M Crystal Mining Kit

Got this for my 10 year old son for Christmas and he thought he was the richest man in the world after seeing their 15 gems had dug up. We almost thought one of us had a flat tire but we didn't give up and eventually found the 15th stone which turned out to be a piece of a geode I accidentally broke so I told him it was a bonus now does he have it 16. The block has arrived. broken as seen in the first photo, no big deal. This kit would be even better if it included a case. I happened to have one on hand that I gave to my son to put on the gems. There were also some gems that weren't listed in the gem training guide. I could never identify her. One was all black (I think it was onyx) and the other was polished purple (maybe amethyst). I also bought him a 4M Crystal Mining Kit which comes with 8 gems and is cheaper. We haven't looked into it yet but I also bought it for my niece and the gems from the 4M set were very boring. National Geographic is way better. It was fun kit but expensive.
