Bought these for my wife for our kayaking adventures, she loves them! I bought a couple of these last year and they are by far the best kayak and creek show I've ever had! First, this tread pattern grips everything: wet grass slopes, slippery rocks, slippery logs, wet muddy streams and riverbanks, you name it. Second, there are NO drainage holes in these soles; That's GOOD because every few water shows I've had with drain holes have brought sand, fine gravel, or mud through the holes and under your feet. Then you need to regularly take off your shoes and clean them during walks. Third, the open nylon mesh body of these devices drains fairly easily and dries quickly too. The midsole is also quick drying and can be removed to make drying quicker and easier at the end of the day. They are true to size, my wife is a size 6 and I am a size 10. They both fit us perfectly and have plenty of room. to add a gel insert if we want. They are very flexible and light, like slippers. For kayaking down streams and rivers, where you'll have to get in and out of your yak frequently, or hiking down wet streams and riverbanks, this is a wonderful shoe. I'm so glad I found them and the price makes them an even better find. One of our kayaking friends also ordered a pair of these. Trust me you won't find better water shoes!
