Review on Leopard Gaming Leather Adjustable Armrest by Diane Glaser

Buyer Warning. The chair doesn't do well with big boys!

I don't usually write reviews but after a little over a year I need to let people know about the quality of the product they are buying. I admit I stoop and stoop occasionally. I've just found that I default to various postures at work because I just can't sit still very well, so I consider myself on the edge of the spectrum that abuses my office chairs. First let me say that for a gaming chair this chair is fine. The high backrest, the wheels they offer lend themselves very well to carpet and wood surfaces, the leather feels smooth and very well tailored, and the adjustable armrests are a really nice touch. However, in my opinion, the cons far outweigh the cons. . First off, leather isn't breathable at all, so be prepared for sweaty backs and an icy chair if you live in colder climates. The seat itself is not comfortable. There's no lumbar support (the pillow doesn't help. It's too hard), there are these "wings" on the seat itself that help bring the legs together, but for big boys it cuts the hips too hard. The worst is the durability. This is the worst chair of my life. My $45 IKEA chair endured 3 years of abuse before the adjustable stand broke. I've replaced the plate that attaches to the pole on this chair before and finally strapped it in place. I pulled the floor out from under the chair to look inside and the whole thing is supported by two pieces of wood, a few screws and a steel rod that is unsupported or reinforced (see image above). The steel rod that supports the arms and main weight of the person sitting on it broke near some screw holes and the screws used in it were simply stripped off. It's great if you have perfect posture and plan to only use it for a short time. Not an ideal long-term solution for those who want a comfortable office chair. I throw this piece away and start the hunt for the best solution. Not for me, but maybe good for someone else. Just know what you're going to buy.
