works very well. The map isn't as finicky as other compasses I've used in the past, meaning you don't need it to be 100% accurate for it to navigate accurately. The care/face glows for a few minutes if briefly exposed to light before diving. I actually put my dive light on the compass briefly and it lit up for about 10 minutes after being exposed to the dive light for just a few seconds, which exceeded my expectations. The hand strap is long enough to fit around a bulky dry suit, but with difficulty.
