The instruction manual couldn't be more vague, even after trying. You will need a cordless drill as there is a step where you need to insert screws that don't have pre-drilled holes. Also, make sure you get it right because once you start building, there's virtually no turning back, unlike a lot of other "build by number" furniture on Amazon. I personally wouldn't buy this bedside table again given the price and quality. about the tech and how long I intend to keep it (it will move into the spare room once I have the right bedside table).
