I have completely switched over from wearing jeans to wearing 5.11 pants. They are so much more comfortable than any pair of jeans I've ever owned. I got this pair for my wife and she now owns several pairs of 5.11s as well. These have always fit according to size in my experience and are extremely comfortable. These have a stretchy panel sewn into the waistline and front pocket that allows the fabric to stretch. This is nice when bending over or doing things that would normally cause the waistline to get really tight (or if you happen to be between sizes). Also, it is so nice to have more pockets and these pockets have more room in them that the pockets on jeans. All around, these are awesome, comfortable and useful pants. You can't go wrong with these!
