Review on 1-Pack 3.5 inch Hard Disk Shock Absorber Bracket with Mounting Screws for PC Case | HDD to DVD ROM Bay Mounting Adapter - ToToT by Ryan Harriger

Effective noise suppression

The hard disk makes a "bang". Beep every 5 seconds (designed for longevity) at idle. Of course, the drive also makes noise during normal disk head movement when accessing the disk (accessing your data on it). With this bracket, these noises are greatly reduced. I wasn't expecting it to be so quiet, especially the "clock-clock" sound every 5 seconds (which is the most annoying). I can barely hear this noise about a meter or 3-4 feet from the computer. Minor points: 1) The metal braces are a bit flimsy. They are still strong for their purpose. 2) There are no instructions in the kit (you will have to search a little to find the instructions). Comes with two strips of IBM adhesive material, no clue what they are for until you find the instructions.

Pros
  • Hard disk housing
Cons
  • Hard to say
