This thing is amazing!

This thing is pretty amazing. This COMPLETELY drowned out any searching noises my Seagate IronWolf 8Tb was constantly making. Even when I wasn't using this drive, it was loud as hell. It's not my startup drive, and it's not even one of the main drives in my project. But he doesn't shut up. Unfortunately, this product does not prevent the drive from making a constant spinning noise. It will NEVER stop spinning so even with this silencer I still get a PERMANENT whirring noise. It only protects…

Smart mount to protect internal hard drives.

I recently upgraded the hard drive in my desktop computer and it has greatly increased the storage capacity. I decided that this much heavier device needed an extra layer of protection from vibration and movement that could damage the drive. This shock mount is very well constructed, protects the hard drive from all angles and took me about 10 minutes to install even though there were no instructions with the kit. The block itself requires no screws to assemble. The price is also well below…

Effective noise suppression

The hard disk makes a "bang". Beep every 5 seconds (designed for longevity) at idle. Of course, the drive also makes noise during normal disk head movement when accessing the disk (accessing your data on it). With this bracket, these noises are greatly reduced. I wasn't expecting it to be so quiet, especially the "clock-clock" sound every 5 seconds (which is the most annoying). I can barely hear this noise about a meter or 3-4 feet from the computer. Minor points: 1) The metal braces are a bit…

Quiet Noisy Drive

I've been living with a noisy hard drive for about a year. Not the end of the world, but annoying. This adapter dampens the drive excellently. The computer now whispers quietly, even when it's next to me. No instructions are provided, but it is quite easy to use. If you're the kind of person who knows enough to look for a 3.5 to 5.25 adapter, you probably won't have a problem installing it. The only problem I had was that my PC case had a "light" 5.25 bar. Drive holder, but the latch only works

What a hard drive! Buy now!

Buy now! I have a TrueNas/Plex server running an Odyssey x86 SBC with a 10TB Seagate Iron Wolf hard drive. It's attached to a piece of plywood hanging on the wall behind my TV. Iron Wolf's hard drive is loud as hell. It is always active, even in standby mode. And when he was attached to the wall, the whole wall became an amplifier for him. HDD sound could be heard in the whole living room and adjoining rooms and even in the kitchen 😳😩 Out of desperation and OMG I bought this soundproof HDD…
