Based on my electronics experience I can honestly say this product is rubbish and will NOT maintain a proper electrical connection. Even when you finally believe everything is working, you'll eventually find your lights dimming randomly or displaying uneven colors and brightness between segments. Some connecting segments are so bad that they even make whole colors disappear. This is because the cheap pins don't allow a constant and proper current to flow between all 4 pins across the entire strip. Contact. Despite this, they will still fail randomly. I checked these problems with an ammeter. One minute they were working, and the next they were partially or completely losing contact. These cheap connectors caused the current to be so shaky and erratic that I lost confidence in the product and decided to hand solder them with homemade jumpers instead. . Now they are 100% vivid with all colors to the end of each stripe. But then, to add insult to injury, I couldn't even get the strip clips to stick to anything for more than 5 minutes. There wasn't anything in that kit that worked properly, so I ended up throwing the whole kit away and instead hand-soldering all my connections with homemade jumpers; and bought genuine 3M to properly seat the clips. Further research shows that this kit is so bad that there are other manufacturers using this kit as an example of what NOT to buy. They are aware that these cheap plugs are on sale and in return they make a much better version. They even use these cheap plugs in their ads to compare the cheap plug side by side with their quality plug. I hope this review will save someone some headaches. It's a shame that other manufacturers are researching LED strip soldering on YouTube.
