You can never have too many make-up brushes, but that can get expensive. This set of brushes by Eigshow offers a quality product with decent variety at a reasonable price that are great for a beginner make-up artist or someone who's been at it for years and years. The seven brushes come very carefully packaged in a sturdy cardboard tube that is also decorative, so you can store the brushes in it if you're low on space. Each brush is shipped in a plastic sleeve, and the larger brushes are also protected with plastic mesh to keep the bristles in place. The wooden handles are a light, natural color and the ferrules are painted with a bright, abstract pattern that is mirrored on the lid of the cardboard tube. The bristles of this set are a natural/beige color.While I'm not crazy about the appearance of the brushes, I don't really care what they look like as long as they have good handles and bristles-- these fit the bill. The handles are very comfortable to hold and easy to maneuver while contouring or attempting some intricate eye look. It's amazing how many brushes take so much care with their bristles, but pair them with terrible handles. These are really nice.The synthetic bristles are SO thick and soft. I was genuinely surprised at how much I like these. They pick up a lot of product effortlessly and with minimal fallout (of course, fallout is also going to be determined by the product itself). They blend beautifully and do not irritate the skin. I am always looking out for how the ferrules are executed, especially on eye brushes because sparse or poor quality bristles coupled with a sharp or unfinished ferrule is just asking for a scraped or cut eyelid. These brushes are done RIGHT! Not only are the bristles nice and thick, they are just long enough that the ferrule will not touch your skin unless you are really trying. However, should you manage to push the brush so hard as to make contact with the ferrule, you are in luck because the ferrule is smoothed and finished and not at all sharp.The brushes come with a little booklet that tells you what each brush is for and how to use it, and each brush has its function stamped on the handle. But you use them in a way that works for you (and make sure to wash them often!). If I had to change one thing, I'd swap out the fan brush for a lip brush. These feel and work great. For the price, you can't go wrong!
