High-quality workmanship, easy installation, quiet

Excellent build quality. Installing the drives in the drive bays took some time. I took the extra time to evaluate different RAID configurations and finally settled on RAID 10. The software that came with this RAID enclosure made it easy and straightforward to create your chosen configuration. I would say that the documentation leaves a lot to be desired. , but if you take a little more time to read and use the full online manual instead of the quickstart, you will get answers to some questions. RAID disk space with operating system (e.g. Windows). I suppose that's obvious in hindsight, but if you haven't installed raw, unformatted drives lately, you might have forgotten. So many USB drives these days are already formatted that it's easy to forget about them. I tried booting into the new RAID several times but didn't see anything new in the drive list and checked to see if anything went wrong installing the driver. - Immediately I realized that I had missed a step. Let's move on to Windows Disk Management and creating partitions (you can create one or more as you see fit). Now everything is in order. Works well and quietly. If you hear noise, it is due to the choice of drives you are installing in the case. Variable speed fan and silent. The only minor thing, but probably a good choice to avoid accidents, is that the power button is on the back, which can be a bit tricky in some cases, like mine in its current location under the table. But the placement of the button on the back means the chance of an accidental press is minimal. Overall, a very well made case, easy installation (if you use the full online manual), quiet operation, great performance. I didn't have to call customer service, so I can't comment on that at the moment.

Pros
