The double receiver enables me to pull a trailer as well as hitch up a bike rack and carry bikes. However, the distance between the top and bottom receivers is too short to allow me to attach the trailer after the bike rack is installed. You have to attach the trailer first. So that means, you have to remove the bikes before you can remove the trailer, and that is problematic. The way I solved this problem is to add six inches between the receivers by cutting the pipe and welding additional pipe between. I also welded a diagonal piece for additional strength. See photo.
