This product is a really cool idea, great for travel or if you're dropping off your kids with someone who doesn't have young children: you can keep it in your car and hand it off. Like all things "universal" it isn't going to work for everyone, such is the situation for me. It doesn't work well with the seats in my car and the wiggliness of the child I bought it for. If my kid were able to hold still on car rides, or if the seats were less bucket-y, or perhaps if the product came with some anti-slip, grippy material, it would work for us. The vehicle in question is a 2016 Hyundai Accent hatchback. So if you're looking at this product, and you've got this car, and the kid your shopping has a permanent case of the wiggles, I'd still recommend this product, as a backup or a hand off, but not as a replacement.
