Review on Powerful Submersible Odyssea EX 350 DX Internal Filter Water Pump for Aquariums by Donia Carey

Bought two of these before and one works fine (about two years later, still works!). But the other made a moderate noise and finally stopped working. So bought this new one, didn't install it for months (because I was a bit lazy!), but did it this weekend and unfortunately it's worse in volume. Moves a lot of water so not a problem but vibrates so much I can hear it 40ft away when attached to the glass with the included suction cups. Noisy. I checked this and I think the impeller is too small for the device and this is what is causing the vibration. The original, which still runs silently, has a slightly larger and different impeller shape. Anyway, it's too late for me to go back, so I'll just take it as a lesson learned: cheap in price can be just as good, but not always. I will try another product/supplier.
