This siphon works very well! However, be very careful when manually pumping liquids out of areas where debris may be present. The filter inlet that goes into the squeeze ball is VERY LIGHTLY clogged. You need to stop pumping, drain the hose and clean the inlet to the filter. DO NOT LET GARBAGE GET INTO THE PUSH DEEP! This little inconvenience is a real pain in _ _! It is difficult to clean the intake area. Don't get me wrong, the overall performance of the siphon is very good. Just be careful with white when using it where dirt is present. You will love having this item. Updated 10/14/21: Unfortunately, this article has become more trouble than it was worth. THE SMALLEST piece of dirt would clog the filter. I had to clean it every time it was used, no matter how clean the liquid being moved. Eventually the valve at the end of the filter failed and the entire unit became unusable. In addition, the valve and filter are destroyed and can no longer be used. I do not recommend buying this item as it will not last long and will not function properly.
