I used a decent drill bit with a titanium bit to drill the first few holes to use the jackhammer Xtremepower hammer (because it kept slipping after breaking part of the reinforced concrete slab). The problem with my regular drill bit is that after a few minutes of drilling, it only makes a small groove. After watching a few YouTube videos on this particular hammer drill, I decided to buy it (along with a set of Bosch carbide masonry drill bits). Without applying much downward pressure, this drill bit went straight through a 4 inch thick slab (with lots of bluestone for infill) in less than 30 seconds. There are several other bits in my Bosch drill bit set (HCST006) including a flat chisel and a pointed chisel. useful for crushing concrete in tight spaces.
