That's exactly what I wanted.
My TV is limited to 60Hz at 4K resolution so I needed something to support that. My new Samsung TV only has 3 HDMI ports and I needed more. It was perfect because it supported exactly what I needed in terms of resolution as well as additional HDMI ports. I have connected an HDMI switch and a Blu-ray player, Xbox One. I'm still waiting for Revain to bring the Xbox Series X back out. And Nintendo Switches. I have a PS5 and an Apple TV 4K directly in the TV. As soon as I turned on my TV, it recognized the HDMI switch and went straight through the process. So far the HDMI switch has worked flawlessly and I'm happy with it.
