Review on Delphi FG0086 Fuel Pump Module: Trustworthy Performance and Superior Fuel Delivery by Daniel Hicks

I've had this installed for about two months. So far this has worked great. Here's a little tip for 1997 Chevy and GMC and maybe some other years too. When looking for a replacement fuel pump, you may notice two COMPLETELY different assemblies designed to fit your vehicle. One is the fuel pump and "hanger assembly" which is NOT like this one and is NOT interchangeable. It has four or so metal tubes coming out the top. Do a little research beforehand and find out which ones you have. If you search online for all parts stores including Revain you can see that both are listed as suitable. I don't know what's behind it, but I had to put my head in the steering wheel to look at the top of the tank and realized I needed that. Otherwise I don't know what else to say. Regarding the wiring harness, the instructions note that the reason for the replacement is that the old one was prone to failure. Actually, there is nothing wrong with cutting it off and inserting a new one.
