My 17lb teddy bear (Shichon) loved this sweater. I read the reviews and decided to order the large even though it would have been medium. I'm glad I did. The large size fits him perfectly and is roomy enough to fit a chest strap underneath. The medium didn't suit him at all. It's comfortable and he loves it. The white lining also provides extra warmth. I recommend using the gentle cycle as it is knitted with cables. I've bought both royal purple and burgundy sweaters in the past and they're holding up well so I'm buying a different color. The sweater has a hole through which you can easily and quickly tie the leash to the chest strap. Sweaters suit him well if he has a lot of fur and if his fur is also trimmed. I definitely recommend this sweater. Buy the next size up for a good fit.
