BlueDriver saves the holidays!

I downloaded the app from the iTunes store (FREE) and installed it on my iPhone SE. The download and installation worked great. The first test was conducted on a 2013 Chevy Silverado pickup with the Check Engine light on. I scanned the codes and the error was "Vapor Recovery System". I was already aware of this error, but the troubleshooting guide recommended checking the gas cap. We tightened the cap, reset the code, and the Check Engine light went out and didn't come back for a month. Ever since I bought the BlueDriver in June 2017, I have kept the module plugged into the OBD2 port of my 2011 Mercedes GL350 (diesel). I'm towing a trailer with an SUV so I can keep an eye on the engine while driving. I'm a mechanical engineer majoring in automotive engineering at Oregon State University (1972) (Beavers) so I wasn't intimidated by the 70+ parameters supported in logging mode. I like the real-time logging feature, which allows me to monitor engine oil temperature, boost pressure (absolute), fuel consumption (GPH), charge air temperature and barometric pressure. In the middle of nowhere the engine dies! Miraculously, we find a spot where it's safe to exit a two-lane freeway (with no hard shoulder) and my wife starts calling our subscription towing service. Now that we've stopped I look into the BlueDriver app and see a low fuel pressure warning. I also smell diesel so I know there is a leak. I open the hood, remove the nice cover (so I can see what's going on) and my wife starts the engine. I see fuel gushing, I scream STOP! Thank goodness it's diesel as it's hot today. I'm getting information from the towing company and they'll be there in 10 hours. I am looking for a faulty fuel hose/connector. I believe the plug is ok but the wire clip has come loose from the socket. I look around the engine bay and find it, take it out, reinstall it and reconnect the connector. Wife starts the car again, no leaks so we put on a nice cover, dried it off with plain green paint and a paper towel and continued down the road. Thank you BlueDriver for connecting, registering and telling me where to look!
