I use it as a portable desk to keep my computer on stage when updating the theater lights. Drawings and schematics information must be updated in real time so that it can be documented and entered into a computerized performance lighting control system. I'm picking up and moving constantly. To me, this is a VERY strong option. The only negative - on all sides there is the "lip". Because I have a thin but wide laptop with a 10 key number pad in addition to QWERTY. So when I have to use one of the USB ports, there is too much pressure on the computer case. So I have to "hang” the PC on the side and work at a slight angle so as not to damage the USB ports. There are small side open notches but they don't match my USB and sometimes the power jack. I also bought a "mic stand" shelf and cup holder. I ALWAYS have to drink coffee!
