Review on 🧂 HOME EC Premium Stainless Steel Salt and Pepper Grinder Set: Adjustable Ceramic Grinders, Glass Shakers, Funnel & EBook by Billy Braggs

Almost five years ago I bought a Cole & Mason Derwent pepper grinder that was recommended by the National Test Kitchen. I spent $40 on it and was very happy with its performance. I wanted to buy a salt shaker to pair with but didn't want to spend another $40 so I bought Oxo Good Grips salt and pepper grinders. I was disappointed with the consistency of the grind. In each of the settings I would get a combination of large and small pieces. I can handle salt, but I either want everything rough or everything normal when it comes to pepper. No combination. I think I found the perfect combination of price and performance with the Home Ec coffee grinder set. I've uploaded pictures so you can see what I mean. The first picture shows the coffee grinders I am talking about. From left to right these are Oxo, Derwent and Home Ec. In the 2nd picture, the rectangular plate shows Oxo (above) and Derwent (below) in their fine, medium and coarse settings. In the 3rd drawing, the round plate shows Home Ec. This is done by adjusting the grind level via the dial, and I used a slightly tight closed position as a starting point. On the disk, 12 o'clock indicates 2 revolutions of 360° counterclockwise, 8 o'clock indicates 6 revolutions, and 4 o'clock indicates 8 revolutions. As far as I can tell, home ec grinders work just as well as more expensive grinders. I also think these coffee grinders look good and go with almost any table setting. All in all I'm glad I found these grinders and look forward to many years of happy use. (And in case you're wondering, I paid full price for this and nobody offered me anything to write this review for. I just found a product that worked well and I hope you all have good luck too.)
