Review on Logitech G305 Lightspeed: The Ultimate Wireless Gaming Mouse by Wiktor Winiewski ᠌

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Money to nowhere, poor quality of the goods.

For the lastcomuple of years I have been choosing a mouse instead of acomnvenient, familiar, but dead one. G305 is about the tenth of the options. A mouse is needed for 95% - to work, 5% - to play. Hand - male, medium size. The biggest disappointment for me is the scroll wheel. It is the tightest of all mice tested for all the time, with active scrolling - the sound is like a "stick on a washboard" and the sensations are appropriate. On top of this, a sharp "cut-profile" is applied to the wheel, without rounding from the edges. If the finger, when scrolling, hits evenly in the middle of the wheel, it’s still tolerable, and if it’s on the edge (with mycomfortable grip, it turns out just like that) - then this cutting itself sticks into the finger like a needle. In general, 10 minutes of working with documents is enough for the finger from this wheel to start to hurt. Here someone recorded it on video (? t=10), extracted from this very detailed review, which I unfortunately found after the purchase when I was looking for how to disassemble and modify it - the sensor is wonderful () Total - just because of the wheel, I highly do not recommend the mouse for those who are going to use the scroll. Gentlemen from Logitech - change the wheel from the $10th Jet. AComfort OM-B90G mouse - the ergonomics of the wheel are close to ideal there. And acomuple of other annoying things: - on mycompy, the right button is twice as tight and loud as the left one. At the left button, click "as it should". (Is this quality, or is it intended? ) - the back of the mouse in the back is morecomnvex than necessary - for my "average" palm, the mouse rests too much on my hand there - also uncomfortable. Most other mice of the same size feel better in the hand. For large-handed people, it will probably be just right.

Pros
  • Positioning accuracy, good gliding
Cons
  • Terrible scroll wheel killed all dignity
