I made fried rice and needed finely chopped vegetables. I pulled this cutter out of my drawer and started using it. With this device it is easy to cut a small amount of vegetables and herbs. It was too little work for a blender or food processor, and the blades were sharp and held in place. This knife was easy to clean, except I was curious about the tiny bits of veggies that might have been on the underside of the body, I wouldn't be able to pull them out. The blades and outer casing are well cleaned by hand. Dishwasher not used. I washed the inner shell very well and even soaked it just in case. The blades retract for safety and I used this for post cleaning storage.
