Hardly tried on. They were a little big but not by much. The heel is low and shaped like a seesaw so it slopes down towards the back of the shoe. I suspect this was done to make them feel more fluid when walking forward. In fact I felt like I was slipping out of the heel of the shoe while standing and there was too much pressure/support in the middle of the boot and not enough in the back. Send them back for a refund.
