Review on πŸ”Œ Custom 4-Pin Trailer Wiring Harness for Toyota Avalon & RAV4 - CURT 56350 (Black) by Nick Childs

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Relatively easy for a practiced handyman/tinkerer, very simple, just takes some time.

Not bad in general, took about 1 hour. I was a bit nervous about ripping panels on my new Rav4, but the videos I found online (here and elsewhere) were pretty accurate and very helpful. On my 2018 adventure the suspension didn't end with the control box being as low as shown in the videos I found so I used double sided tape to tape the inside of the empty space under the light - hopefully it stays this in place and doesn't start to rattle. And the green cable to the passenger side was a bit short, another 6 inches would have been perfect. hide under the entire disguise again. Pretty good overall, the hardest part is routing the main power cable and zipping it up so it doesn't get in the way of moving and/or hot parts. It would be nice if there was an easier way to keep the device powered all the time, but due to the power draw the best/safest option is directly on the battery. Total install time was 1.5-2 hours so I took my time.
