Size M fits a skinny 8 lb cat
She hates it. This was to be expected. But I love that it's fleece lined and for my sassy style, rivets are the easiest to work with. Her movements seem a little restricted because the material doesn't stretch very much and there is a lot of fabric in her "armpits". But in general it works and I'll keep her in if she goes out on the balcony when it's below zero.
