After purchasing a new HTC Vive system in November, one of the controllers started to fail after about three months. The haptic feedback motor stopped working and the right side of the touchpad barely worked anymore. I sent it to HTC under warranty (had to pay for shipping one way). I bought a new controller so I can keep using the Vive and have an extra one in case the other one stops working. It took TWO MONTHS to get the old controller back! During this time, the touchpad on the other original controller stopped working. This means I have to send it too.
