Review on ๐Ÿšฐ BPA-Free Water Bottle Replacement Cap for Nalgene On The Fly by Paul Rosemark

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Functional but only

The tab that holds the lid in place is very thin and made of plastic so it can be easily bent when force is applied e.g . B. when full water is held. bottle on the loop of the lid. Using a metal bracket is imperative, otherwise the plastic will eventually fail and the lid will not close properly. Even without breaking the tongue, it will eventually flex under pressure and this leaves enough room for the plastic retainer and spring to come out. locking mechanism. The tabs holding it in place are absolutely tiny and it only takes a millimeter or two of flexing to pry it free. The silicone inside gets dirty very easily if the cap is exposed to anything cute, so make sure to only use it for water. It's impossible to clean once it's dirty and a replacement like this is overpriced for what it is in my opinion. The construction is not very strong, the silicone waterproof seal is capricious, and it is too easy to damage the locking mechanism. It works and fits well though, keeps liquids inside even if turned upside down when shaking, and the metal bracket is good insurance. Functional but don't expect it to withstand abuse or sugary drinks and always use a metal clasp as the plastic clasp will bend, crack and eventually break with normal use.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Good overall but...
