This little thing was bought to keep my fingers from hand washing my best kitchen knives. It works great for my needs. Apply some Dawn liquid to each side of the knife, slide these brushes across the knife and move the brushes up and down on this very sharp blade. That's all. A quick rinse in hot water and the knife is ready to dry. Rinse the soap off your brushes and you're done. It can also be run in the top shelf dishwasher for a real clean. I am very happy.
