I needed an expensive option for a super small steering wheel (14-14 1/2 inch model). When I installed it for the first time, it was easy to install and adhered well to the surface of the steering wheel. But when heated in the sun, the silicone material showed 2 strange effects: 1) it became more elastic and 2) the inner surface became smoother. Both caused the steering wheel cover to slip. But when driving at night when it was cooler, the steering wheel cover felt "harder" and held the steering wheel better too. I'm assuming the silicone has a material mix that isn't heat resistant enough. The "smoothness" can either be due to deep hardening of the oil on the steering wheel (caused by heat) or perhaps the steering wheel housing needs to be cleaned with detergent first before fitting. In any case, there is room for improvement. I brought it back and settled on traditional, thicker handlebars that I knew would hold tight. You get what you pay for.
