This is the third time I have had to replace the left fan in my 2011 17" MacBook Pro, the first time for the right fan. These fans are great compared to original and previous replacements quiet. As other replacement parts have been the result of squeaky bearings I have high hopes for these Padarsey maglev suspended units. But for the price if I get a few years of them it will be a good investment.because of their reasonable cost .Use both fans if you opened your case and exposed both. Full instructions on replacing these fans with new ones are available online. You'll need a few (inexpensive) tools and reasonably good eyesight to make the trade. I suggest suggest that you watch at least one YouTube video of the process <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-PQAVxSSr4> before You start on your own if you haven't already. It's better not to start the exchange than to stop halfway because you don't see what you should do or you break something.
