The silent mode is really very quiet, perfect for a bedroom at night. Easy to understand controls. Easy to see. After a week I really feel that the air quality has improved. The only minor complaint is that the light is bright! With all the great ideas that went into the design, I don't understand why the lighting wasn't given more attention. We switch ours from automatic to 'Silent' (level 1) at night, which prevents all the lights from coming on when changing gears in automatic mode. However, the main indicator light stays on all night. I had to tape it shut so we could sleep.
