So this stretcher worked pretty well but there are a few things to note. First, nothing smaller than a size 8 will fit. Also, the "leaves" flexed quite a bit after the first use, so the minimum size has now gone up to an 8.5 or 9 unless you're REALLY struggling with that. . . . Second, after you've driven the wedge in and need to push it back out, make sure you put a block of wood or something between the hammer and the end of the wedge or it will mushroom and make it harder to reinsert. . After all, this thing just doesn't have the nerve to resize some coin rings made from thicker coins like the Morgan dollar or some commemorative coins.
