My baby sleeps in a Graco backpack when traveling. But most of the time he goes to sleep. So I put him to bed and he plays or fidgets until he falls asleep. Usually when we travel we are all in the same room (me, husband, kid and toddler). So that the baby is distracted when he sees us. This case was the perfect solution. If the room is dark, he cannot see anything. When the room is lit he can see a little, but the ceiling makes it dark enough to sleep and when he tries to look outside he can't see anything well enough to be distracted. Mesh material to allow airflow, but it's also thick, which is necessary to function as a light-blocking material. It has never bothered me that the material blocks airflow but keeps the heat inside. This was fine as our trip was in the fall and the weather was cold, but in the summer this could be an issue when camping. May need a fan blowing or in a package so it doesn't get too hot. Overall very happy with it. We leave the lid on the package when we pack it so I never have to think about taking it with me when it's time for a trip and it also makes it a lot quicker to set it up with the lid already on.
