This product performs as advertised, however it is important to understand its limitations. As mentioned, it will turn off your cruise control when you signal whether it's using the brake lights to detect braking. It is also important to note that it will not work if the brake or turn signal are not connected. For each side turn signal, this is a relay with a coil between the brake and turn signals and diodes to energize the relay input. When the brake or turn signal is on, a reverse feed (high resistance so the lights don't turn on) on another wire energizes the coil. As someone else pointed out, quickly disconnect the brake light wire and control box to turn off the unit when not in use and your cruise will work just fine. This make-up request must be documented on the packaging.
