My Win10 computer has BT4.2 built in. I use BT for everything sound related and I checked everything first. Some time later (after adding more apps, hardware, networks, etc.) my whole BT computer crashed (stuttered?) but connection to cellphones and others continued to work fine. Eventually, moving some devices around, I found that again there were problems with the signal and/or interference. The simple solution was this USB BT5.0. My problems are gone and everything works. I don't know how well the other features work or not, but my headache is gone! 1. Device Manager -> Disable Internal Bluetooth.2. Follow the well-included instructions. Insert the USB stick.3. Run the beautifully supplied driver disk.4. Settings -> Enable Bluetooth5. Reconnect the devices as there is a new partner on the other side. Repeat for each.6. That's all I did. No hiccups in the process. No restart issues with on/off or out of range. :-)
