Review on Engine Water Temperature Sensor Mercruiser by Mario Madden

This temperature sensor works but is very difficult to install due to poor workmanship. NPT threads do not have the normal taper found on most American made tube fittings. The initial thread diameter is larger than it should be, making it very difficult to begin installation into the manifold initially. After 10 unsuccessful attempts I added more cone with emery cloth and sharpened the threads with an NPT die head. Also the hex diameter is not the same as the 3/4" wrench size of the OEM sensor but is 17mm (much smaller) which can be an issue if you don't have that tool (wrench) to take with you later on. Would NOT buy again.
