I had an old smooth leather Wilson jacket that I bought in the 90's. I was a cool kid back then! Now my son wanted to use it so I pulled it out of the closet and saw that it was dirty, dry and glistening whitish. I ordered leather care and my son went to town. When he was done I almost didn't want to give him the jacket, it looked so good! Unfortunately my son took advantage of my "I can't trust you if you don't follow" lecture and I was forced to give him a clean and new jacket just to be consistent.
