There is a small three position slide switch on the back that has been set to OFF. The Automatic position is used when you want the photocell to work. There is no remote control or other controls. I used it in my kitchen last night in auto mode, which means it stays in low light mode and then gets brighter when the motion sensor detects movement. This worked flawlessly all night and stayed on after about 7 hours and until sunrise. (Nominal run time in low light is 12 hours.) Unlike most clients, I don't permanently install my solar lights outdoors, but charge them outside during the day and then bring them indoors at night for off-grid indoor lighting. . It doesn't have a charge indicator or charge level so you just get what you get and on arrival I couldn't tell if it was fully charged or not. However, it performed very well in the kitchen and gave off a good amount of light for its size and value. One of the advantages of this model is that the light and panel are assembled together, so there is no long wire or connector between the panel and the light source.
