Practice wearing them
Our dog took them off the first time he put them on. We tried again when we were ready to leave, he was wearing a rental car and collar. He let us put them on and even walked around in them! The second walk was better! He gets used to her. It's funny to see how he forgets they're on and tries to shake the dirt off! I think they keep him from burning his feet on the hot sidewalk. We live in Arizona so it's very hot there!
