I think if you're setting up a Raspberry Pi system, you know that nothing comes easier than plug and play. It's no different. Expect to download and install multiple apps and libraries, do at least one build, and do a few nano edits. I recommend Chris im Keller's tutorials on YouTube. However, once that's done, it's a really great upgrade that adds a ton of usability to the system. I use it as Octoprint interface. The included stylus works much better than a fingertip, but the fingertip works so you don't have to rely on the stylus. Also, the pen is just a piece of plastic, so any sharp object will do instead. I am using the screen on a Pi3b although it is being sold for a Pi4. The only downside to this is the noticeable delay between pressing the button and executing it. There is no noticeable lag on the Pi 4. Finally, although the kit is advertised as being for the Pi4, you cannot use all of the components at once. The fan is attached to an optional bezel that cannot be used if you have a touchscreen installed. The case is definitely made for Pi4 and cannot be used for Pi3 due to two micro HDMI ports. So if you're using a TFT on a Pi3 you can't use a case or fan, and if you're using a Pi4 you can use a case and TFT but you can't use a fan. Luckily for me I was able to use the TFT on the Pi3 and the fan case in the Pi4 project.
