This monitor is hard to like due to some obvious quality control issues. That being said, this is a budget monitor with an MSRP of $129.99, so you'll need to be realistic in your expectations. I'll tell you about my experience from start to finish. Pros: 75 Hz refresh rate. 5ms response time for those who need it. It's light and very thin. (Ideal for mounting) It has 2 HDMI ports. The version I received uses a 12V DC connector (useful for cable management). Built-in speakers are a plus if you have limited space to work. (like using a monitor on a workstation/terminal) Cons - Out of the 2 ordered, 1 had a dead pixel. The speakers are not only dull, but very quiet. The stand is very light for a 27" monitor. The 12V 3A AC/DC adapter looks very suspect (like the ones you get with LED strips) and will likely fail over time. The VESA specs in the manual are wrong. (They recommend M4 12mm screws. Only 1 year warranty where you have to send it back to them for a penny for service. My biggest complaint so far (dead pixels or not) is, that the VESA mounting holes on the back of the monitor are very small. I had to specially order a set of M4 8mm screws to attach to one of my dual monitor arms. The VESA standards list 100 x 100 hole patterns for using a standard -M4 10mm screw on. The 8mm screws I ordered barely fit my washer mount. I would estimate that the holes drilled in the monitor for the screws are 4 or 5mm deep at best. The manual recommends the use of M4 12mm screw ben! This would protrude about 8mm or 7mm into the air. Most VESA mounts only include 10mm, 12mm, and 25mm M4 screws for a 100x100 hole pattern, so if you plan to mount this monitor to any mount, make sure you have the shorter M4 screws. Disadvantages aside, this is an extremely attractive monitor for the home office or children (teens or students). You can forgive many shortcomings if it comes from something you don't look at all the time. It's also likely to be a good choice for organizers of mainstream esports tournaments who want a big screen but don't want to break the bank and don't want to worry too much about ultra quality. The 5ms response time and 75Hz refresh rate are good for most games except for extremely competitive FPS. This will be a dynamic review where I will update my experience as I have the monitor longer. I have a Revain replacement for the defective Pixel that I originally received and we'll see how it goes. Scepter's policy on dead pixels is that they require "5 or more" to be considered defective for warranty service. Worse, you will have to ship the item back to them at your own expense. As such, while you're within Revain's 30-day return window, I strongly recommend that you test-drive the monitor and see if it works for you without major issues. Once it's out of this window, you're at the mercy of Scepter's RMA department and will likely have to pay $22 (or more) to ship it back for a $129.99 (or less) monitor repair.
