Review on Unleash High-Performance with AMD Ryzen 5 3600XT Processor & Wraith Spire Cooler by Tung Duong ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect purchase for me, exactly what I was looking for!

There was a lot of conflicting information that the processor was hot like infernal heat, they talked about the incompatibility of components . In my opinion, it turned out to be an excellent processor that covers 90 percent of the user's PC needs. A very important point - the VRM of the motherboard does not heat up at all . I did not believe the monitoring indicators, opened the case cover, touched the motherboard with my hand, where it was painful to touch before - it was barely warm there, which is simply excellent! The temperature is 40 degrees according to the sensors. In the drain of percents, in my case, use is a stupid topic. "Put it in and forget it" does not work here, because the voltage applied to the processor is prohibitively high, which is completely unjustified, and, accordingly, the cooler starts to go crazy with temperatures. After disabling the PBO, clamping the voltage to 1.250, setting all cores to 4400, and manually adjusting the fan curve, the system runs fabulous. After a couple of days of fiddling with overclocking: I noticed that after resetting the BIOS to default settings, the fans do not make as much noise as when the processor was first started. There is a suspicion that initially the firewood for the chipset did not fully rise, now the voltages do not jump to 1.450, which leads to the conclusion that the story with "inserted and forgot" may be quite appropriate here, but if it is possible to overclock, it is better to do it , the profit is tangible. A week later: We managed to stabilize the processor at 4300mhz at 1202222v and LLC2, the memory started at 3800mhz 1900 FCLK at 1.45v and LLC2 with 16-18-19-19-40 and reduced secondary timings, for these chips (HYNIX-AFR) the result is excellent. 53000 read, latency 65 ns. Stability tested for 8 hours in Prime95 in custom mode with memory and processor stress. It’s pointless to take 4400mhz on the CPU, in my case, it was not possible to stabilize the system at this frequency, because the voltage is 1.3000 volts, the temperatures are above the permissible ones, so I stopped at 4300. : Still, this memory works no higher than 3600. 3800 prime does not pass 9 hours.

Pros
  • Fast on dry data. Assembly on a budget MSI B350 Tomahawk (board with a very mediocre power supply). DDR4 on Hynix-AFR chips overclocked by calculator up to 3800MHZ FCLK 1900 and a one-to-one divider. Proc took 4400MHZ across all cores at 1,250 volts, but running Prime95 is stable and adequate in temperatures at 4300MHZ at 1202222v. Windows 10 with all the latest ates. Cooler from Noctua NH-U12A. Fresh, at the time of writing the review, drivers and a stripped-down BIOS (Click Beta Bios). The processor wound up on the motherboard without dancing with tambourines. The performance increase from the previous processor (R5 1600) is about 25 percent, which is very noticeable in games and rendering. Prots is hot, but taking into account the fact that he is overclocked. With the same performance as the R5, the 1600 will be icy, so you can customize the temperature / performance ratio. I also checked the effect of memory overclocking on performance - from 3200MHZ XMP to 3800 on the calculator, the increase was more than 15 percent. The stress temperature of Aida64 for the entire system, together with the video card in the case with 5 fans and 2 on the cooler, averaged 68 degrees. Primary performance measurements: Assassin`s Creed Origins 13100 (maximum settings, but 50 percent rendering. Test without focusing on the video card) Assassin`s Creed Origins 11400 (1920x1080, max settings) Cinebench R20 3981 points
Cons
  • There are no disadvantages. There is a feature of the architecture that would be nice to know. I put it in and forgot it doesn’t work very well here, you need to play around with the handles a bit so that everything is completely fine. Details added to the comment.
