Slicer was fine at first. It comes with two interchangeable cutting lines. The cutting line broke after the 3rd or 4th use. I use one of the spare strings that came with it, it broke almost immediately. I replaced them with the last available string. It also soon collapsed. And the screws for changing the cutting wire are very small, I lost one when removing the last spare blade. I've cut regular cheeses like cheddar, swiss, and edam. No harder cheeses like parmesan. I wish the cutting wire was stronger. hope you have better luck
