Very happy with this digital food thermometer. I wanted to use a thermometer for cooking meat and sweets. I don't cook a lot of meat, but my husband is very picky about the texture of his meat and of course makes sure it's fully cooked. For candies like fudge and lollipops, which I enjoy making, getting to the right temperature is critical to getting the right consistency. The fondant won't set if you don't heat it hard enough etc. This thermometer is very easy to use, you just turn it on, stick the probe into your food and hold it steady to read; Response time of 3 to 4 seconds. The device is waterproof and you can set the temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit. The device reads temperatures from -58F to 572F. The results are easy to read and the numbers are clear and large with backlighting. I wish I had bought it sooner to improve my candy recipes. Absolute recommendation for everyone who cooks a lot. Super helpful.
