Review on ☕ Atmos Vacuum Canister for Coffee & Food Storage - Airtight Sealed Container, Matte Black, Medium Coffee Bean Storage, 0.7L Jar by Charmaine Murray

I received a 1.2 liter glass canister. The glass is thick enough for a vacuum. When I first tried to open it, the cap would not come off, even after twisting the cap and pressing the release valve multiple times. It turned out that the rubber seal around the cover was not fitted correctly. The seal came loose a little, but it was enough to cause additional friction between the glass jug and the lid. After proper installation, the lid can be easily removed from the glass jug. The green vacuum indicator was not very bright. In the demo video it looked like a bright green LED indicating the correct vacuum level. My department wasn't that visible. No batteries or capacitors. It's all mechanical. When I purchased this canister, the Revain item description did not mention that storing finely ground coffee or flour is not recommended. I dismantled the rubber seal and two layers of filters fell out from below. A round paper grid disk and a metal grid disk. The designer probably installed these two fine-mesh filters to prevent coffee grounds or coffee dust from getting into the lid and damaging the mechanism. I applaud the effort and thought behind the design. Since I will be using a canister to store ground coffee, I am planning on installing a third paper filter for insurance. It is made from a 10-12 cup coffee filter cut to fit the lid. The box says "Made in Taiwan". I would happily pay a few bucks more for a product made in the USA. I would like a brushed stainless steel finish. Pros: High quality components. Easier to open than the Airscape container. The strength of the vacuum can be varied, turn it several times or as many times as you like. Looks beautiful. Cons: It might be worth checking that the rubber grommet is installed correctly. The green vacuum indicator is not very visible. May not be suitable for freshly roasted coffee as this container does not have a one way valve to release CO2. One solution is to rotate the lid several times a day until the coffee beans stop gassing.
