Speaking about the 60th chamber, I would like to say that it was released to close the hole between the initial class and the semi-professional. The body has been simplified to make the camera understandable to the average user. Speaking frankly, 60d is the same 550th, the only difference is only in the case and a larger working iso. This is probably something in between for those who do not want to take a simple DSLR with a minimum of buttons, but are not ready for something serious (7d, 5d). I have a Sony a330 camera myself, but after the new year I’m going to switch to this camera, since Sony can’t offer anything like that yet.
- Pretty high working ISO (at 1600 it’s acceptable to shoot, 3200 starts to noticeably make noise), swivel screen (although for some it’s a plus, for some it’s a minus), light weight due to the combined body, solid plastic case, comfortable handle, fast focusing, reasonable price for a camera of this class.
- Of the shortcomings, only ergonomics (but rather this is my personal opinion)
