Review on OXO Good Grips Lily Pepper by Todd Markel

Height in inches, beautiful and functional Salt Grinder by OXO

I had my doubts about this grate grinder when I had a Peugeot, but I'm pleasantly surprised by OXO's ergonomic design. The body of the salt mill is made of beautiful wood and the head is made of plastic. This easy to fill salt mill (just pull out the coarse pick option piece on top of the head) has a ceramic mechanism and works very well. Newer Peugeot salt mills tend to grind the salt too fine but this one doesn't and that's exactly what I needed. It sheds a few grains here and there, but that's all of them. I put it on a beautiful china plate and had no trouble sitting down on the dining table; It is really a beautiful and useful object. In addition, the price is much cheaper than Peugeot and it rotates exactly as you want it to. I use coarse "grey" salt from the Ile de Ré (Ré Island, France), salt with iodine, unrefined, hand-picked, like in the old days. But theoretically, this mill can grind any salt if you prefer salt from the Himalayas, for example. I am very happy with this purchase and I hope this grinder will last as long as the Peugeot that killed me recently.
