OXO Good Grips Lily Pepper Review

OXO has still confirmed and not delivered the missing dial for the 8 inch Dark Salt Mill. Still waiting for winter to pass, I use the grinder to light the fireplace. That's how useless it is without a dial.

This grinder is much more elegant to use than the cheap plastic mechanisms installed on food containers bought off supermarket shelves. The light wood next to my dark wooden pepper mill clearly announces "I am the salt".

Tried several clear glass models. Work for a while and then not so much. I've always loved the Oxo and when I saw this model I knew I had to have it. Have had it for a few months now and am considering a shorter version for a bench grinder.

I looked around for a long time to find a modern looking but attractive pepper mill. It is great. It looks great and feels very good in the hand. The grind is good and easy to use. You also don't have to jump through hoops to refill it. Very happy.

To be honest, a bit expensive. However, the product looks very solid and grinds the salt super smooth! Power to grind and get stuck all the time. I'm so sorry I bought it so much sooner! I will eventually buy the pepper version too!

So glad I found these salt and pepper grinders! They are beautiful and easy to use. I followed another reviewer's advice and bought a dark wood for the pepper and a light wood for the salt. Love it! They mark the salt with a little white dot on top, but I prefer that. They're a little "leaky" from the bottom, but nothing I wouldn't expect. I like the height and the high quality. Would definitely buy again.

The main plus is that it looks good. It's easy enough to use, durable enough, but we never use a setting higher than the finest setting and it's already pretty rough. I would like finer adjustments. I don't know what you would use the crudest setting for. I also understand that this is a smaller version but wish it had a little more capacity as we are constantly filling it up. I had my doubts about this grate grinder when I had a Peugeot, but I'm pleasantly surprised by OXO's ergonomic design. The body of the salt mill is made of beautiful wood and the head is made of plastic. This easy to fill salt mill (just pull out the coarse pick option piece on top of the head) has a ceramic mechanism and works very well.
